Essington clinic was first established in Lichfield in 1983 by David and Pia Antrobus, originally on London Road. The clinic expanded in response to a growing demand for a wider range of medical and complementary health care and relocated to its current premises on Birmingham Road, Lichfield in 1990. Ben Parsons joined the clinic in 2012, with Tamzin Parsons joining in 2018, and Zac Cole joining in 2023. Ben, Tamzin and Zac took over as owners in 2023.

Our Vision:
Ben graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2012 with a masters in Chiropractic. He has worked at Essington clinic and in Burton-on-Trent since. He is a keen sportsman and enjoys watching and playing most sports. He played county level Rugby as a youngster and currently plays Squash for Burton Tennis and Squash club.
As well as being an expert in spinal injury and rehabilitation, Ben has a particular interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of sporting injuries and the shoulder. His unique experience from playing and thoroughly enjoying sport of all types allows him to identify and understand the problem from a sporting perspective. He has subsequently helped his patients achieve sporting excellence by treating their injuries and keeping them fit, to be able to perform at a high level. He is also versed in the use of medical acupuncture and low level laser therapy.
Tamzin has been practicing in Staffordshire since graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2012. She first became interested in Chiropractic when she saw how much it helped her parents. They’d shuffle into the office bent over in pain and walk out of the treatment room standing straight and feeling a lot better.
Due to her empathetic and caring nature, Tamzin enjoys working with all patients but with a particular interest in pregnant women and the elderly. Tamzin finds it extremely rewarding being a chiropractor and especially loves how chiropractic finds and treats the cause of the problem and not just the symptoms. She undertook a postgraduate course in medical acupuncture and likes using these new skills in her treatment plans.
Zac graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2017 and has been working in Stoke on Trent since. He joined Essington clinic in 2023. Zac first heard of Chiropractic when he was trialling for the Great Britain under 18’s rowing squad. He was training too hard and frequently for his body to keep up. During this he was having regular chiropractic care to help him to achieve more, whilst helping reduce the pain that limited his performance. This sparked an interest for Zac in the mechanics of the human body and how Chiropractic can help improve this, not only to reduce pain but to improve function to reach your goals.
Zac uses his experience to tailor his treatment plan to each individual, looking at what their goals are and working out the best way to get there. He has a particular interest in encouraging his patients to keep active and helping them with their fitness achievements or goals. Zac can often be found out hiking in the Peak District or out on the golf course!
Jessica graduated from the Welsh institute of Chiropractic in 2024 with a Distinction. She also holds qualifications in acupuncture and dry needling as well as sports massage. In her clinical year of university, she experienced a number of differing patients of all demographics and conditions. She enjoyed working together with her patients to find solutions that worked best for them.
Growing up in Derbyshire, she has always been surrounded by sports, being a prolific ballet dancer in her school years and playing hockey at County and University level. These factors drew her towards chiropractic care, having been a patient at Burton Chiropractic herself.
Kathryn studied Aesthetics and Cosmetology and gained internationally recognised qualifications, CIDESCO, BABTAC, and ITEC, IA in 1985, Gaining Care Quality Commission registration in 2008 and continues to update her training with Lynton Lasers and Manchester University on a regular basis.
